I Love You A Bushel & A Peck | My Creative Scrapbook | October Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

A quick stop in to share a page created with the fabulous October Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook used this month's sketch which was designed by the talented Laura Whitaker!

Here's the sketch...

Here's my take on the sketch!

In this layout I decided to document a couple of photos of Titan's first moment in our home.  Titan is such a sweet and affectionate dog, it was very easy for him to steal our hearts!

I decided to flip the sketch, so that my title will be at the top of my page.

I created a cluster on the top left hand corner of the photo which included a die-cut piece, a puffy flower sticker and then tucked a smaller die-cut flower underneath...I also added some of the Farmhouse Stew-Soup labels on the left hand side of the photo.

I added some of the stars from the coordination label stickers down the right hand corner of the photo and I also tucked a label sticker underneath the right side of the photo.

I decided to used the shaker wood veneers to create a butterflies border and love the added texture this created on my page.

The coordinating label stickers had the perfect phase which I used as my title.

I finished the layout off with some stamping, paint splatters and a few puffy hearts stickers!

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

You & Me | Stuck?!Sketches - October 15th Sketch Challenge

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

It's time for a new sketch challenge at Stuck?!Sketches and Laura designed another fabulous sketch to get our creative juice flowing!

Here's the October, 15th sketch!

Here's my take...

My photo document Max at eighteen months and Grandpa enjoying a fun afternoon. I love how the camera captured that loving moment between a Grandfather and his Grandson.

I used Pink Paislee - Turn The Page collection on this layout...such an amazing selection of beautiful patterned papers!

I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe to back my photo and created a cluster on the left hand side which included my title, a couple of tags and die cuts from the Turn The Page ephemera pack.

To the top of the page I added a strip of pattern paper, then I fussy cut the top part of paper 17 and adhere with some machine stitching. I also added some hand stitching to follow the design which created a bit more texture to my layout.

I created a cluster to the right of the photo that included some fussy cut stars from paper 11 and a flair.

I finished the layout off  with a few enamel dots and some paint splatters!

Thanks for stoppin by :) xx

My Creative Scrapbook | Together | October Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook fans!  It's Yvette here with you today, sharing a step by step tutorial using this month's October Main kit!

The main kit this month features the gorgeous Jillibean Soup Farmhouse Stew Collection and I just couldn't resist creating a page with lots of flowers!

First I selected the two patterned papers I wanted to use for my flowers and then pick a third to use for the center.

Next, using a pencil I drew a bunch of petals and then cut each one out with a small scissors...this took me a little while to do :)))

To create the middle of my flowers I used the Reinforce Hole Punch from We R Memory Keepers, this went much faster than the petals.

At this point I started playing around with the placement of the flowers, once I was happy with the arrangement I glued in place.

Now, you cannot have a page of flowers without adding a few butterflies and this kit just happen to have these adorable small wood veneers butterflies from Jillibean Soup!

I pierced holds in a few places around my layout to create a swirls design and just stitched with beige colored thread, I love the extra texture this added.

Next, I added the wood veneers butterflies and using a few of the decorative brads (also in this month's main kit) to add extra dimension to the center of the flowers.

I keep the embellishments to a minimum so as not to overload the page, and love how beautiful this page turn out!

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

The One | My Creative Scrapbook - October Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

I'm back today to share another layout for My Creative Scrapbook using the fabulous October Main Kit
I love everything Jillibean Soup and this kit is packed with the amazing Farmhouse Stew Collection and so it's was perfect to document this photo of Max looking for that special one pumpkin!

I started by matting my photo with a few pieces of the farmhouse stew patterned paper and before adhere to my background paper, I added some machine stitching in a few places to create a bit more interest on my layout.

I love all the beautiful embellishments included in this month's kit! Here you can see I created a cluster on the bottom left hand corner of the photo which included some die-cut pieces, a puffy sticker and a couple of stickers from Simple Stories-happy harvest collection. I also added some twine around the bottom of the photo and a stamp phrase.

To the top of my page I added several thin strips of pattern paper and also another strip to the bottom of the page. I created another small cluster on the top left hand corner of my layout using a paper punch and a puffer sticker.

I added my title in the top right hand side of the page using alphabet die cut pieces from the Farmhouse Stew collection along with a few coordination alphabet stickers.

I finish my layout by adding my journaling, a few enamel dots and some paint splatters!

My Creative Scrapbook | Hello Fall - October Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm stopping in the share my first layout using the October Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.

This month"s main kit is absolutely gorgeous, it's feature the beautiful Farmhouse Stew collection from Jillibean Soup!

For this page I started by cutting the leaf wreath in this month's cut file from white cardstock and instead for backing the cut file with patterned paper, I decided to add color by using a leaf stamp and love the added texture this created on the layout.

To give it a bit more dimension, I adhered it down with some foam dots.

Next, I placed my photo on top of the cut file and start embellishing. I added a few flowers die cut from the pea pod parts to the top of the wreath. I also fussy cut some of the flowers from the beautiful Gimme Some Sugar patterned paper and tucked them underneath the wreath.

I added a few more cut file leaves and adhered with machine stitching, one in the bottom right hand corner and the other to the left hand side of the page.

I finished the layout off with a few more embellishments, my title and a few paint splatters!

Thanks for stopping by :) xx

Today Goals | Stuck?!Sketches October 1st Challenge

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

I'm so excited to be selected to joining the Stuck?!Sketches design team for the next six months! I love creating with Laura's sketches and hopefully inspire you to participate in our challenges each month!

Here's the October 1st sketch design by the talented Laura Whitaker.

Here's my take on the sketch!

My son started sixth grade this year and I decided to document this photo of his leaving for his first day in middle school!
I used the gorgeous Boys Fort collection from PinkFresh for this layout and went with one 4x6 photo instead of 4 smaller ones.

To the bottom left of the layout I created a small cluster which included a tag made from some pattern paper, a die-cut piece with the cute saying (I may be wrong but I doubt it) from the ephemera pack, a few stickers, and a button I had in my stash!

On the bottom right hand corner of the photo I added a Charms Creation heart embellishment, along with a painted wood sticker from the Boys Fort collection and to finish off this cluster I added the cute dude flair from A Flair For Buttons!

To add a bit more interest to my photo, I decided to place three of the numbers from the ephemera pack down the right side of the picture and next added the handwritten today die-cut direct on the photo!

I combined a flair from A Flair For Buttons with the word GOALS from the ephemera pack to create my title, I then adhered both to the tag using form dots I love the shadowing and extra height this creates.

To finish my layout off I added a few enamel dots around the page, some stamping to the top left corner of my photo and to the tag at the bottom of the page. Next, I added my journaling and some brown paint splatters.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx
