Special Delivery | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I  have another layout to share with you using the gorgeous December Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook! I'm so in love with all the beautiful patterned paper, embellishments and the fabulous colors in this kit! πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒthat's me doing the happy dance :))))

I couldn't resist documenting this cute photo of Titan looking up at his stocking!

I begin by building a series of layers using patterned paper and cardstock on the page as a starting point for my design. I then added stickers, a few pieces of chipboards and die cuts from the ephemera set to the left side of the photo.  In the close-up below you can see how I tucked and layered my embellishments which is a great way to add extra dimension to one page.

I tucked a couple of tags and die cut underneath the corner right hand side of the photo and another die cut snowflake to the left side of the photo. The hanging stocking die cut from the ephemera pack added the perfect touch, place on top of the photo.

I really enjoyed creating with this gorgeous kit. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!!

Get Cozy | Stuck?!Sketches December 15th Sketch Challenge

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

It's time for a new challenge at Stuck?!Sketches and Laura has designed another fabulous sketch for us to be inspired by!  Here's a look at the December 15th sketch!!!

Here's my take on the sketch...

I used the beautiful *December Days* collection from Pinkfresh Studio to document some photos of our 2016 Christmas tree.

I started by creating a hand stitched tree to use as a starting point for my page. Next, I started building my patterned paper layers, following the sketch as I went along.

To the top left corner of my photos I created a cluster which included a few *December Days* gold foiled die cuts and a puffy sticker. I also decided I wanted to incorporate the poinsettia stamp from Altenew on my layout. I stamped and colored the poinsettias with Copic Markers and cut them out with the coordinating die.

I created a smaller cluster to bottom right hand corner of my photos using one of the stamped poinsettia, a couple of puffy stickers and a phase die cut which were also used as a title for my page. I love the added interest and texture the stamped poinsettias create...

Another cluster was added to the top right hand corner of the page using a smaller stamped poinsettia, a puffy sticker and a few more of die cut pieces.

I finished off the layout with a few added die cut gold stars and some paint spatter.

Thanks for stopping by:) xx

My Creative Scrapbook | December Tutorial-Holiday Cards

Hi My Creative Scrapbook Fans! Today I have a couple of simple holiday cards to share with you, using the GORGEOUS December main kit...I absolutely love the Falala collection featured in this kit!

Here's the first card....

For the first card, I decided to use the stamp & die set included in this month's main kit.

I chose to use only one of the tree image on my card, I stamped and colored the trees with Copic markers.  Next, I decided to fussy cut the trees instead of using the die-cut that were included in the stamp set.

I started building my layers, beginning with the Fireside plaid-pattern paper and then added a solid piece of black cardstock which were placed on a slight angle.

I then created a base for my stamped trees using a 3x4 stitched scallop rectangle die cut and the reverse side of the Fireside pattern paper. I used the red ribbon also included in this month's main kit to add some texture to the bottom section of the card.

Next, I added the fussy cut Christmas trees, tucked a tag underneath one of the layers and added a Teresa Collins sticker as my sentiment and finish by placing it on a 4 1/2 x 5 1/2  white cardstock base.

For the second card, I used some white cardstock for my card base and then started adding my layers.

I begin by adhering a 4x6 piece of the Greetings pattern paper to my cardstock base.

Next, I added a strip of the Twinkle pattern paper down the right side of the card.

I couldn't resist using the Festive pattern paper which I used as a base to place the adorable snowman on. I cut a few tags from the Greeting pattern paper to use on the card and love the cute saying *happy hohoho to you* which were a perfect sentiment for this time of the year.

I finished the card off by adding a few cut file snowflakes and some enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx Yvette

Magical | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back with another layout for My Creative Scrapbook using the December main kit! This month's main kit is packed with so many gorgeous patterned paper from Crate Paper* FALALA *collection, so I decided to created a page using lots of layers.

I started with a 12x12 white cardstock for my background. Next, I selected the three patterned papers I wanted to use on my page and from this point I started building my layers. I created a 10x10 square with another piece of white cardstock and added two strips of the *Very Merry* patterned paper.  One was placed across the top and the other across the bottom. Next, I cut both the *December & Twinkle* patterned papers on an angle and placed one on top of the other, creating a sight overlap to the design.  Added some machine stitching around the perimeter to create a frame.

Next, I started adding cluster of embellishments, I mixed chipboard stickers, ephemera pieces, stickers and decorative tape (also included in this month's main kit) here and there to tie everything together.  I love the added dimension and interest this created on the page.

For the title, I used the thickers and tucked the word MAGICAL in between my photos.

I had a lot of fun creating this page. Don't be afraid to try adding lots of layers by using patterned paper and embellishments!

Thanks for stopping by :) xx

Merry Christmas | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm stopping in to share my first layout using the December, Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook! This month's main kit fabulous the gorgeous *FALALA* collection from Crate Paper.

I started my layout off by using the background cut file and sized the file to fit onto a 12x12 page and then cut it from white cardstock.  Once I cut it out with my Cameo, I backed the whole thing with white cardstock.

The December cut file set is perfect for documenting all your holiday photos and I knew I wanted to used a few on my page and decided to use both the wreath and pine branches. The wreath were cut using white cardstock and I used a combination of solid cardstock and patterned paper for the pine branches.

I then arrange the pine branches on top of the wreath, alternating with the cardstock and the patterned paper.

I used the Merry Christmas chipboard sticker from the FALALA collection as my title.

I also tucked a tag under the right hand side of my photo and finished the layout off with a few of the chipboard stars place around the page.

Happy Birthday | Stuck?!Sketches-December 1st Sketch Challenge

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

It's time for a new sketch challenge at Stuck?!Sketches! Here's the December 1st sketch designed by Laura Whitaker.

Here's my take on the sketch...

I love this design, with all the strips of beautiful patterned papers behind the photos, it was the perfect sketch to document these photos of my husband celebrating his birthday!

I used the gorgeous Pink Paislee - Turn The Page collection to create this layout and decided to flip the sketch, since it work better with the placement of my photos.

I created a cluster on the bottom left hand corner of my photos which included a Charms Creations Book page heart, some embellishments pieces from the Turn The Page collection and a few fussy cut stars from the pattern paper #11.

I used a wood veneer word from my stash and combined it with a birthday stamp to create my title.

I added a small cluster down in the bottom right hand corner of the page which included a ephemera die cut piece along with a fussy cut star and flower.

Next, I added another cluster to top right hand corner of the photos, using a few more fussy cut stars and flowers. I also added a flair from Accent Scrapbooking to complete the cluster.

I finished the page off with a few enamel dots scattered around the layout.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx

Love & Laughter | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

I'm back with you today to share another layout featuring the beautiful November Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook!

On our lunch dates, my son loves to take silly selfie to send to his dad, this is such a cute way to document our mother and son one on one time together!
I cut out three strip of patterned paper in different sizes and placed them one on top the other, with the top two on an angle. I created a matt for my photos and added foam tape underneath to give it some dimension.

I tucked a couple of die-cuts labels on the right side of the photo, and to the top right corner of my photo I added a small cluster which included a sticker, along with a few bits and pieces from the ephemera pack.

I added another cluster up in the top left hand corner of my layout using the adorable window chipboard sticker, along with a phase sticker.

A few more cardstock die-cut ephemera bits and pieces place to the left side of the photo and a title created with alpha stickers from my stash to finished the layout.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx

Trick Or Treat | Stuck?!Sketches November 15th Challenge

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

It's time for a new sketch challenge at Stuck?!Sketches!  Here's the November 15th sketch designed by the amazing Laura Whitaker!

Here's my take on the sketch...

For this page I used a photo of my son on this Trick or Treat outing taking a year ago.  I loved the design of this sketch, and try to keep fairly close to it.

I used the Goosebumps collection from Pretty Little Studio for my layout, along with a cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  I start by cutting the Spiderweb and the banner from the Hocus Pocus patterned paper and then adhere the web to the cardstock with machine stitching.

I created a cluster on the bottom left hand corner of the photo which included a few die-cuts from the Goosebumps collection and a couple of stickers. How spooky is that spider laying on top of the photo! :))))

Instead of adding a strip of pattern paper to the bottom of the page, I decided to use the banner from the cut file.

I added some layers of patterned paper to the right side of the photo, which create a matting for my title.  I finished the layout off with a few more stickers around the title and paint spatters in black.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx
