Santa - Simple Vintage Dear Santa Collection by Simple Stories

Hey there! I've got some fantastic Christmas inspiration for you today using the stunning Dear Santa collection by Simple Stories. Get ready to be inspired and feel the holiday spirit!

For this project, I used white and red cardstock paper. I trimmed an inch from each of the three sides and distressed the edges to create a unique, textured look. Then, I placed the papers on top of the black gingham paper at the top of the page. I added multiple layers of patterned papers that complemented each other perfectly. Finally, I added my photos and embellished the page with a few Layered Bits and Pieces, Ephemera - Bits and Pieces, and the Santa from page pieces as the title. Overall, I am really pleased with how this project turned out!

Enjoy the video and happy scrapping!

Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today. I hope my project using this collection will inspire you to create something beautiful, too!

Oh, What Fun | Simple Stories | Boho Christmas Collection

Oh, What Fun

Hey there, my lovely Simple Stories friends! It's Yvette here, and I'm thrilled to share my latest layout with you using the stunning Boho Christmas collection. Oh, my goodness, this collection is absolutely amazing! It's so soft and beautiful that you're going to fall in love with it!

For my project, I used the reverse side of the Mistletoe Wishes paper. This side of the paper has a lovely light pink hue with outlines of Christmas trees and dots. I used this paper to create a heart, which I then enhanced by adding machine stitching around the edges. Additionally, I distressed the border to give it a more rustic feel. To complete the design, I cut out some tags from the Tag Elements paper, placing them under the heart so that only the top section of the tags was visible, which framed the heart nicely.

I combined a few fussy-cut gifts from the Better Not Pout pattern paper with chipboard stickers, cardstock stickers, and some ephemera bits and pieces to embellish my layout. This collection has the most beautiful die-cut poinsettias and adorable snowmen, making it so easy to add many layers and create a super festive look!

I used one of the papers from the 6x8 paper pad to back my photo and placed it on the left side of the heart.

Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today. I hope my project using this collection will inspire you to create something beautiful, too!

Candy | Simple Stories | FaBOOlous Collection

Candy

Hey there, my lovely Simple Stories friends! It's Yvette here, and I'm thrilled to share my latest creation with you using the fantastic FaBOOlous collection. This collection has got to be one of my absolute favorites, with its adorable and spooky Bits and Pieces, not to mention its stunning patterned papers that are simply to die for!

I incorporated my photo in one of the beautiful chipboard frames. I then realized that the picture did not occupy the entire space within the frame, so I created two 1/2-inch circles using some of the beautiful, patterned papers from the FaBOOlous collection. I then arranged them vertically down the page, thereby filling the vacant space in the frame. I added two more chipboard frames to maintain an overall balance within the layout design.

I added embellishments in and around each frame to make them stand out. I used Journal Bits and die-cut Bits & Pieces to create a more cohesive and exciting look. One of the die-cut pieces I used was an eerie haunted house, which added a spooky touch to the overall design. I also incorporated bats, which complemented the theme perfectly.

I chose the foam word "CANDY" for the title because of a sweet memory I have. During a Halloween outing with my son, he kept asking for candy from people instead of saying "trick or treat." This cute moment stuck with me, so I used it as my title and added it directly onto the frame to commemorate it.

I included a small amount of stenciling throughout to add texture and depth to the page. This helped tie the different elements together and create a more cohesive and visually appealing layout.

Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today. I hope that you've found some inspiration! Happy October to you all!

Sunny Day | Bella Blvd | Lake Life Collection

It's Yvette on the blog today, and I have a new layout to share using the fabulous new Lake Life collection.

I fell in love with the charming *Gone Fishing* patterned paper, which features colorful fish on a dark blue background on one side and a delightful red and dark red checkered pattern on the other. I knew this beautiful paper would be the perfect centerpiece for my layout. I carefully cut the patterned paper into an 8-inch circle and split it into two halves, adding some lovely machine stitching along the curved edges. To give it some character, I gave it a distressed finish, which made it even more special.

I arranged the circle half on a slight angle and stagged them, so they didn't meet. I added the words border strip from the Borders paper down the middle of the circle to bring everything together and create a cohesive look.

I decided to layer some of the larger die-cut pieces from the Lake Life collection to cover up some of the busy pattern paper in the upper half of the circle and create a stunning outdoor scene. This way, the design looks more balanced and less overwhelming. On the lower half of the circular design, I incorporated another set of decorative elements using die-cuts from the Ephemera Words and Icons, as well as the Ciao Chip Chipboard. To add an extra touch of cuteness, I included the adorable bear adorned in brown gingham plaid and blue striped overalls from the Bella Pops - Bearly Fishing.

I completed the layout by adding black and white ink splatters.

Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today. I hope that you've found some inspiration!
